Hi! I'm Amy Bourke, Owner and Registered Psychologist at The Connected Psych
A few of Amy's favourite things: summer, music, and sitcoms. Amy enjoys adventurous holidays, although she needs a lot of convincing to complete the adventure once she gets there! Her most memorable adventure was the Tongariro Crossing day hike in New Zealand!

Amy has a passion for supporting clients to be their unique selves. Amy uses Self-Compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Narrative Therapy approaches in a genuine and empathetic manner. Amy offers psychological therapy for adults, adolescents, children and their families.

Amy (Registered Psychologist) works in collaboration with Simone Fitzgerald (Speech Pathologist, Complex Care Collaborative) to provide diagnostic assessment for children and young people aged 4 to 17 years. For more information, go here.

Ella Lloyd - Accredited Social Worker at The Connected Psych
A few of Ella's favourite things include staying active, indoor plants, gardening and thrillers. Ella most looks forward to camping with family and friends, where she can relax, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors.

Ella is passionate about supporting clients to navigate life’s challenges with empathy, respect, and care. Ella’s practice is strengths based and uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy. Ella offers therapeutic intervention for adults, adolescents, children (8 years and older), and their families.

Our Approach
We take a compassionate, client-centred approach to care. This means we work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences, set meaningful goals, and develop strategies that support lasting change.
Our clinicians use a range of Evidence-Based Therapies, which may include, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Informed Approaches, Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Self-referral
You do not require a referral from your doctor to access mental health services. Please note, without a referral you will not be eligible for Medicare rebates.
If you have private health insurance, contact your private health insurer to see if you are eligible to claim for services.

NDIS Support
We provide self-managed and plan-managed psychological and social work support, specifically designed to help you achieve your NDIS goals. Please talk with your NDIS coordinator for more information.

Doctor referral
A valid Mental Health Treatment Plan will enable you to be eligible for a Medicare rebate to access psychological services, which you are able to claim after each psychology appointment. Please talk with your doctor for more information.
Please note that Medicare rebates are not available for Social Worker services.
